Drupal 5 now Beta 2
November 30, 2006 — Tim NashThe second beta release of Drupal 5.0 has been released this is primary a bug fix with over 160 additional patches, but no feature differences you can read about this release here.
Upgrading from Beta 1 to Beta 2 was a very simple experience just copy and paste, then run update.php a single db change was made. It would be nice if Drupal offered to automate the backup process during these upgrades but its a minor quibble and barring the lack of module support (which will come) Drupal 5.0 is looking and working great.
