Getting people to link toyou can be a nightmare, but the simplest way is to simply ask sorry beg for links, and after my earlier boo boo with the wordpress.com blog I thought I could do with getting some good links going to timnash.me.uk by my calculations its due to hopefully come out of the sandbox in the next few weeks. So how to garner links well by offering something in return, in this case another link or two.

Its no secret that I have a personal website and blog nor that we have been experimenting with it a bit, this week I choose to take the bullet and merge the blog and site together.

My biggest worry was that Google would see my site as spam, having decided that my wordpress.com site was the original (though with so few posts this was very unlikely however ultimately this is a test for if and when we migrate clients blogs. We are going for take 2 of our skypecast series, The cast will start from 12pm GMT on friday until 5pm GMT though there will be a half hour break around 2.30.

This skypecast discussions will be focused solely around promoting your self online and will be an open mic sessions, which means anyone can join in, We also hope to get a couple of guests to interview as well. Now before I start I should point out I am talking about a policy for recipocal links not a policy regarding people who link to you for nothing (though there are some real howlers out  here is a list of a few)

Rather policies regarding two way link exchanges, nearly all site owners have at some point been asked to exchange links with some one but have you got a policy to cover who what and when you would do such a thing with?
