You may remember this post about Windows Live sucks…
Well I have changed my mind Windows Live is the most amazing search engine ever, everyone should use it why well simple really ?
But Tim have you forgotten the rules of your game?
No I know its timnash.me.uk that I was trying to get to number 1 but what is interesting was the email from someone who read the posts on the experiment who was adamant that this blog had been number 1 for Tim Nash for at least 2 weeks and wanted to know why I didn’t post about it.
So Lets have a look at some statistics for the Keywords “Tim Nash”
Google (as of the 5/12/06)
3 entries in top 10 for Tim Nash the IT consultant (claimID, LinkedID, WordPress Tag)
Yahoo (as of the 5/12/06)
2 entries in top 10 but both are from timnash.me.uk the only big search engine to include timnash.me.uk in their SERP results in the top 50!
MSN/Live (as of the 5/12/06)
3 Entries including the number 1 spot, though no entry for timnash.me.uk
How should we interpret these results?
Google and MSN are clearly restricting access to timnash.me.uk it is safe to assume they have sandboxed the site, Yahoo on the other hand hasn’t and so will probably be the first engine to reach the number 1 spot. All is not lost though, and the Tim Nash Experiment continues.
